how can you believe in true love?

When Holly and Hef cant make it in this crazy world, Who can? lol

The rumors were swirling for weeks. Holly Madison, one of 82-year-old Hugh Hefner’s three girlfriends but the one he said he actually loved, has confirmed to TMZ.com that the two are kaput. The buxom blonde beauty made the confirmation in a backdoor kind of way. When asked by a TMZ.com paparazzo how he could get into Hefners’ Halloween party, Holly told him: “I have no pull anymore. Hef and I aren’t together.” Apparently, the split is amicable because Holly is still living in the Playboy Mansion so she can complete her filming obligations for E! reality TV show ‘The Girls Next Door’. She added: “We are all still filming stuff together. We’re having fun. The sixth season is going to be even better. We love season five, but I think every season gets better.”

What I am actually wondering is, who will actually read my blog beside the gajillion hits a day I get when people Google “Holly Madison”? Dont ask me what my fascination is with those girls. I guess the idea of living absolutely however the heck you feel like with whatever morals you want in front of the nation just is very interesting to me.. not in a “wow I wanna be you” way.. more like  “look, a train wreck, I cant look away” way

Since I know you’re curious.

Time is finally getting closer to our MUCH anticpated vacation. We leave in about 3 weeks. We have been one by one ticking off both days and items on our “to do” list. Both birth certificates arrived. Both of them looking official enough for me to feel more relaxed about just using them instead of going for the passports. We also requested our absentee ballots. Since we will be in the Bahamas on election day. When we went yeterday to the voter registration office, I assumed that we would be able to cast our ballots via electronic ballot, BUT the ballots nor the software had arrived yet! YIKES the election office better get its butt in gear in Columbia! Its less than a month from the presidential election, You’d think we lived in Florida or something! We were assured though that we will recieve our ballots in plenty of time to cast them before we vacate :)

In today’s mail we recieved a fun pack of information from Cocoa beach.. a whole pile of brochures and the like from the area. Steven was especially interested in getting the ones from Merrit Island Wildlife Refuge. He is so excited to spend the morning  the day before we cruise exploring there.

I am excited too.. while I am not a huge bird watcher.. I love to see Steven enjoy something so much. Im sure we will have a great time.

Thing One has a bad cold. She missed school friday and monday.. poor baby. Last night we let her play in her soccer game (even though they were decimated 5-0. Its been a rough season for Mowhawk this year. ugh. You always hate to be on a losing team.)  It was probaly to soon to be out running around and sure enough last night she was coughing her little head off. I worked a double yesterday and was exhausted.. about 11pm I heard Thing One get up and then a few minutes later Steven came through our room to the master bath. He was rummaging in the medicine cabinet. (I had anticipated the couging and the meds were laid out on the counter.. why dont men look better?) when I heard thing one from the hallway

” Come on Daddy, get the lead out, I dont get paid by the hour”

that kid cracks me up.

hmmmm this just might could work

Someone sent this to me and I

thought it was interesting to

think about.

“Hi Pals,

I’m against the $85,000,000,0

00.00 bailout of AIG.

Instead, I’m in favor of giving

$85,000,000,000 to America in a

 We Deserve It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let’s

assume there are 200,000,000

 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.

Our population is about

 301,000,000 +/- counting every

 man, woman and child. So

200,000,000 might be a fair stab

 at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+

 into $85 billion that equals

$425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,000 to

every person 18+ as a We

Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax

 free.

So let’s assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay

 $127,500.00 in taxes.

That sends $25,500,000,000

 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+

 has $297,500.00 in their pocket.

A husband and wife has

$595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,5

 00.00 to $595,000.00 in your

 family?

Pay off your mortgage – housing

 crisis solved.

Repay college loans – what a

great boost to new grads

Put away money for college – it’ll

 be there

Save in a bank – create money to

 loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car – create jobs

Invest in the market – capital

drives growth

Pay for your parent’s medical

insurance – health care improves

Enable Deadbeat parents to

come clean – or else

Remember this is for every adult

 U S Citizen 18+ including the

folks who lost their jobs at

Lehman Brothers and every other

 company that is cutting back.

And of course, for those serving

in our Armed Forces.

If we’re going to re-distribute

 wealth let’s really do it…instead

of trickling out a puny $1000.00

( “vote buy” ) economic incentive

 that is being proposed
by one of our candidates for

 President.

If we’re going to do an $85

billion bailout, let’s bail out

 every adult U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG – liquidate it.

Sell off its parts.

Sell off the real estate.

Let the private sector bargain

hunters cut it up and clean it

up.

Here’s my rationale. We

deserve it and AIG doesn’t.

Sure it’s a crazy idea that can

 ”never work.”

But can you imagine the Coast-

To-Coast Block Party!?

How do you spell Economic

Boom?

I trust my fellow adult

Americans to know how to use

 the $85 Billion

We Deserve It Dividend more

than I do the geniuses at AIG

 or in Washington DC

And remember, The Birk plan

 only really costs $59.5 Billion

 because $25.5 Billion is

 returned instantly in taxes to

Uncle Sam.

Ahhh…I feel so much better

 getting that off my chest.

Kindest personal regards,

Birk

Guy & Citizen of the Republic”
