Last week sometime I posted about two babies who contracted gonnorrhea at the ages of 4 and 5years old. Later in the week another sibling in the home tested positive for another STD! My heart just breaks for those kids.. and that it happened right here in this town makes me cry.

This week they made an arrest!

“Dillon police arrested a 17-year-old man Monday in connection with the case of the two Dillon County children who contracted gonorrhea earlier this year.

Kayle Alford, of 406 E. Howard St., Dillon, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 11.

Dillon Police Sgt. Jason Turner said although Alford does have a past criminal record, it shows no previous instances of sexual abuse.

The children in the case are 4- and 5-year-old siblings. Their parents were arrested Feb. 28 on charges of child neglect. The mother and father of the children posted bail and have been  released from jail. Turner said the charges against the parents will remain in place.

If Alford is convicted of the charges, he could receive life in prison, Turner said.”
